Heidi obtained her

Master's Degree at Queens University and has comprehensive work experience in hospitals including Acute care, Rehabilitation & Geriatric Day Hospital; Private clinics, Long term care facilities, Retirement homes, and Home care. With a combination of evidence based treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, targeted exercises, and functional movements- clients are supported in meeting their mobility goals. Having grown up in Arnprior, Heidi is grateful to have the chance to give back to this friendly community, and help our seniors stay healthy, active & independent!

If you are a new client or if you have not had a treatment session for 3 months, you will need to schedule an Assessment. Your physiotherapist will ask a series of questions about your condition. This will be followed by a detailed examination involving movement & special tests to understand what the cause of your condition is so that an individualized treatment plan can be designed to help you achieve your mobility goals.

Only after you have been assessed by your physiotherapist, you will book a treatment session. This can involve mobilization of your joints and tissues & massage to help relieve pain and stiffness which improves mobility & function; graded exercise therapy tailored to your specific needs; postural training, and education about your condition/diagnosis and how to manage it. Understanding your condition allows you to take a positive role in your recovery. An option for treatment can include a 1:1 session of aquatic therapy; therapeutic treatment interventions in the water environment especially helpful for those who have pain from arthritis. The healing properties of water and benefits include pain relief, reduced joint tenderness, and better quality of life, in particular for people wo have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and hip and knee osteoarthritis. During your initial assessment your physiotherapist will discuss your results and treatment options with you.
