Helia is a Registered Physiotherapist whose passion for the profession was inspired by her aunt, also a physiotherapist. Her commitment to helping individuals overcome pain, injury, and disability drives her work, focusing on restoring strength, mobility, and confidence so her patients can return to the activities they love. Helia is deeply fascinated by the resilience of the human body and strongly believes in the healing power of movement, embracing the principle that exercise is medicine. Helia adopts a holistic and patient-centered treatment approach, addressing the root causes of issues to ensure lasting results. She utilizes evidence-based methods, incorporating manual therapy, tailored exercise programs, and education to help her patients meet their goals, prevent future injuries, and feel empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey. Helia graduated with distinction (summa cum laude) from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Minor in Psychology, followed by a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. She is the recipient of the Dr. Barnett & Beverley Giblon Silver Medal for Excellence in Physical Therapy. Myo Clinical Pilates group physiotherapy classes are designed to help you move better through guided Pilates-based exercises. Each class is led by a registered physiotherapist who is also a Pilates instructor, focusing on core strength, mobility, posture, and functional movement. Clinical Pilates is a safe way to return to exercise after injury or pain and is suitable for individuals with osteoarthritis, chronic low back pain, prenatal or postnatal concerns, pelvic health issues, or postural problems. Please note you are required to have completed a physiotherapy initial assessment prior to booking a clinical Pilates class.

_This session requires a doctor's prescription for a pessary prior to booking. _ A pelvic floor physiotherapy pessary session is a specialized appointment to fit a pessary device. A pessary is a medical silicone device that is inserted vaginally to help manage symptoms of prolapse or stress urinary incontinence. The session is performed by a pelvic health therapist who has done additional certification in pessary fitting and management of a pessary. The session will involve a history taking, assessment and fitting as well as other pelvic health treatment as necessary. It make take a couple of trials to find the pessary that is the best fit for you. The pessary device is billed separately from the session. and requires a prescription from a doctor. The device may be covered under extended healthcare benefits.
