Irina began her professional journey in healthcare after graduating from CDI College in 2020, where she developed a strong passion for improving patients’ quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic care. Her clinical approach is holistic and patient-centred, recognizing the interconnected nature of body systems and integrating multidisciplinary strategies to support optimal recovery, mobility, and overall well-being.
Irina is a certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage practitioner (Levels 1, 2, and 3) through the Dr. Vodder School, with advanced training in edema management, compression bandaging, lymph taping, and comprehensive lymphatic care. Her expertise includes a strong foundation in the anatomical, physiological, and pathophysiological mechanisms of lymphatic and venous disorders, enabling the safe and effective application of MLD and CDT protocols within Canadian regulated healthcare standards.
She is highly skilled and experienced in post-cancer surgery rehabilitation, supporting patients following oncological surgeries, including those involving lymph node removal. Irina provides specialized care for post-surgical swelling, seromas, scar tissue restriction, pain, and impaired lymphatic drainage, with a strong focus on lymphedema prevention and long-term management. Her approach is gentle, evidence-based, and tailored to each patient’s stage of healing and medical history.
Irina is also highly experienced in the treatment and management of venous disorders, including varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency. Her work focuses on edema reduction, circulation support, symptom relief, and prevention of disease progression, integrating manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, lymph taping, and patient education to promote long-term vascular health.
In addition, Irina provides specialized care for post-surgical and post-traumatic conditions, including recovery following plastic and reconstructive surgery, gender-affirming surgery, lipedema surgery, cancer-related procedures, and other surgical interventions. She also treats orthopedic and soft-tissue injuries, such as knee injuries (including meniscus tears and ruptures), joint trauma, muscle strains, ligament sprains, and other musculoskeletal conditions, supporting pain reduction, swelling control, tissue healing, and functional restoration.
Recognized and certified by the Dr. Vodder School, Irina is authorized to deliver MLD and CDT within the scope of regulated professional practice in Canada. As a certified fitter for JOBST compression garments and Bio Compression intermittent pneumatic compression systems, she is qualified to assess, fit, educate, and support patients requiring medical-grade compression therapy for lymphedema, venous insufficiency, chronic edema, post-surgical recovery, and long-term vascular management.
Beyond her clinical practice, Irina plays an active role in team leadership and clinic operations, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where practitioners from diverse backgrounds work together to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Her work is guided by clinical precision, compassion, and professionalism, with a strong commitment to empowering patients throughout their recovery and long-term health journey.
