Following graduation, Jamey's hockey skills took him to Europe where he competed professionally, gaining valuable insights into various training methodologies and performance enhancement techniques. This experience abroad helped shape his approach to movement training and rehabilitation.

Since 2021, Jamey has worked as a Kinesiologist specializing in hockey-specific speed development. Through this work, he's developed expertise in analyzing movement patterns, identifying biomechanical inefficiencies, and creating progressive training programs. Jamey is eager to apply his knowledge of human movement to helping clients recover from injuries and improve their quality of life.

Jamey takes a client-centered approach, believing that each person's journey is unique and requires individualized attention. He focuses on building a strong foundation of functional movement before progressing to more challenging exercises, ensuring clients develop proper mechanics that support long-term health and prevent future injuries.

As a certified Kinesiologist registered with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiology, Jamey is committed to evidence-based practice and continuing education. When not working with clients, you'll find him on the golf course, playing recreational sports, and making the most of all four seasons in BC's beautiful interior.

The initial assessment is the first comprehensive evaluation that a kinesiologist conducts to understand a patient's condition. This session typically includes: Patient History: Gathering information about the patient's medical history, lifestyle, symptoms, previous injuries, surgeries, or illnesses. The kinesiologist will ask about the onset, duration, and nature of the current issue, as well as any factors that worsen or alleviate the symptoms. Physical Examination: The kinesiologist will assess the patient’s posture, range of motion, strength, flexibility, and any areas of pain or discomfort. Specific tests may be performed to evaluate joint stability, muscle function, and neurological status. Movement Analysis: The kinesiologist may observe the patient’s movement patterns during various activities (such as walking, standing, or lifting) to identify abnormalities or dysfunctions. Goal Setting: Based on the findings, the kinesiologist will work with the patient to set treatment goals, which might involve reducing pain, improving mobility, or regaining function. Treatment Plan: A personalized treatment plan will be developed, which may include exercises, manual therapy, education on posture or ergonomics, and advice on lifestyle modifications. The initial assessment forms the foundation for ongoing treatment and progress monitoring.
