AjouterMy journey into acupuncture began in northern B.C. while I was working as a Certified Dental Assistant and struggling with chronic neck pain and headaches. After years of seeking effective treatments, I tried acupuncture as a last resort and after just three sessions, I found the relief I had been searching for. Inspired by this experience, I transitioned from the dental field to pursue a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine and natural healing.

In June 2007, I graduated with a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, B.C., after 3,200 hours of study. Shortly after, I passed my acupuncture licensing exams in British Columbia. I am a proud member of the Saskatchewan Chinese Medicine Association (PTCMAAS) and the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC).
I have continued my education by studying specialized acupuncture techniques, including Motor Points, Balance Acupuncture with Dr. Tan, and Meridian Theory with Dr. Spears. My practice is centered around providing comprehensive care for the body, mind, and spirit. For all returning patients requiring acupuncture only and those who have already gone through the Initial Intake appointment. In this appointment we will check in on changes in your key symptoms and adjust the treatment as necessary. At this time Janis does NOT direct bill to insurance, SGI or WCB.
Your first visit is 60-minutes and includes a review of your health concerns, and an acupuncture treatment will be given. The Initial Acupuncture Visit is only for new patients or for individuals who have not had treatment for more than two years. At this time Janis DOES NOT direct bill to insurance, SGI or WCB.
