“Certified Athletic Therapists center their care around musculoskeletal (muscles, bones, joints) injuries and their prevention, evaluation, treatment and restoration of those wounds. The goal is to help you return to your usual activities, whether playing competitive sports or walking to the mailbox and back.
Athletic Therapy treatment can come in the form of conditioning exercises using both standard and advanced techniques and/or rehabilitative therapy, including electrical, thermal, and manual modalities.
Both procedures aim to facilitate recovery, function and/or performance either pre or post-injury or surgical intervention, as well as for general injuries or conditions related to the musculoskeletal system.
Athletic therapy is good for a wide range of patients, from kids with concussions to seniors recovering from hip replacement surgery.
If you’re hurt, our athletic therapists are experts at injury assessment.
