Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we'll ever do.” - Bréne Brown
Hello, my name is Jen. Thank you for your courage to be here.
I’m here to support you in owning your story and reconnecting to your most authentic and loving self. Healing often begins in spaces where we feel safe, seen, and supported, and my goal is to co-create that space with you.
Before entering this field, I spent over a decade in the corporate world where I gained a deep understanding of the real-life challenges of balancing ambition, caregiving, identity, and change. That journey ultimately led me back to my passion for psychology and the mind-body connection.
As a second-generation Chinese Canadian, a partner to a first responder, and a mother, I also carry a lived understanding of the complexities of being bicultural and the silent negotiations many of us make between cultures, roles, and expectations.
I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, cultural identity, parenting, relationships, self-esteem & personal growth, and youth & adolescence.
I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and somatic-informed perspectives.
I also bring years of experience as a yoga and mindfulness teacher. These practices continue to support my belief in the mind–body connection and the healing that becomes possible when we learn to listen inwards.
Outside of work, I find joy in travelling with my family, spending time in nature, reading, and being present for life’s simple moments.
Wherever you are in your journey, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you and hold space as you own your story. If you’re curious about starting therapy, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can explore whether we’re a good fit.
