Jen identifies as queer, is neurodivergent, and experiences chronic pain. She is particularly passionate about working with these communities; although, anyone who is 16+ is very much welcome.
She primarily uses a Person-Centered, Culturally Responsive, Strengths-Based approach along with an intersectional perspective that takes into account a person’s multiple, intersecting identities and how they relate to various struggles and concerns. Jen considers an individual’s unique experiences and needs and may incorporate other approaches, such as Affirmative therapy, Solutions-Focused therapy, Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, and Mindfulness. In her practice, she emphasizes collaboration, nonjudgemental listening, and understanding the client’s experiences from their perspective in order to help guide them towards growth, positive change, and acceptance.
