Jen is a physiotherapist, nature enthusiast, and lives by a few guiding principles. These include listening, creating space for conversation, and treating people with respect. When you come to see her with a Pelvic Floor or Pelvic Health concern she will listen to your story, ask questions and work to help you achieve your goals. She tailors treatment to your specific issues.
Jen completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta and has worked as a registered Physiotherapist since 2009. Because of her enjoyment of pushing her own body to its limits, she not a stranger to injury. Wanting to have a holistic form of rehab to add to her practice, she became certified in Stott Rehabilitation Pilates in 2012. Through the years, she has developed a passion for women’s health and found herself drawn to continuing education courses that addressed the function of the pelvic floor, the abdominal wall, pelvic pain and Pilates. She is also certified in Rost Therapy for pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain and level one KinetaCore functional dry needling for muscles that need a little extra love. All of her knowledge can be applied in both Clinical Pilates and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. She aims for a holistic treatment approach integrating body awareness, breath, alignment and direct treatment for the area of concern.
Outside of work she love chasing her niece and nephew around, hiking up mountains, cooking healthy food, running, reading and adventuring with friends. If there was time to be in the forest every day, breathing in the fresh air, that is where you would find her!

This can be beneficial for those living at a distance, for prenatal and postnatal questions and when you wake up and feel unwell on the day of your in-person appointment.
