Jenny Peetoom
SaveJenny Peetoom is a registered psychologist with a master degree in counselling psychology. She is a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.
Jenny approaches therapy as a collaborative process between client and therapist and works to create a welcoming space to be oneself, to hear a compassionate, outside perspective, and to engage in change. Jenny roots her practice in Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT), and has specialized training in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Jenny works primarily with adult and adolescent clients and provides individual, couple's, and group therapy. She focuses her practice treating the following concerns: anxiety (including social anxiety, panic disorder, and phobias), OCD, BDD (and other compulsive disorders) and interpersonal relationship difficulties. Other treatment areas include low self-esteem, adjustment issues, trauma, grief and loss, emotion regulation, and behaviour change.
Jenny acknowledges that she is a settler in Treaty 7; the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut'ina and Stoney Nakoda Nations and the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. She is grateful to be living and working within this beautiful land.
