Jo-Anne is a licensed psychologist with the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick (CPNB). She has a Bachelor of Science with Honours, as well as a Masters of Science, in Psychology. Jo-Anne has worked for the department of education, the public health system, and in private practice over the last 15 years. Throughout her career, Jo-Anne has worked with individuals of all ages and has supported clinicians, coworkers, and staff from a variety of organizations. She enjoys working with individuals from different disciplines as well as helping individuals meet their own goals. Jo-Anne uses a person-centered, and trauma-informed, approach to her work. She provides a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space for individuals and uses a variety of evidence-supported therapy models. Some of her more regularly used treatment approaches include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Jo-Anne has also completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and some of these therapeutic techniques with individuals. Jo-Anne currently works with adults (i.e., individuals 18 years of age and older) with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety and depression, ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), traumatic stress, and psychosis. Jo-Anne also provides psychodiagnostic testing to adults This type of testing is used to identify an individual’s current difficulties and to provide specific treatment recommendations. A diagnosis is also sometimes provided with this sort of testing. Common areas assessed in psychodiagnostic testing include: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, symptoms of psychosis, personality disorders, and traumatic stress disorders (like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).En savoir plus sur JoanneAfficher moins
