About Jonathan
Jonathan Yule is a Social Work Candidate (SWC) who strives to create a grounded and empowered space for his clients to reconnect with themselves. Jonathan is a queer and neurodivergent clinician, and works from a client-centered, anti-oppressive, and trauma responsive lens. Jonathan specializes in working with neurodivergent (diagnosed or suspected) and LGBTQ+ adults in identity exploration, navigating life transitions, anxiety, low mood, and grief. Jonathan primarily works using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), while also incorporating attachment-focused, psychodynamic, narrative, and existential/spiritual frameworks. Ultimately, treatment with Jonathan is led by the client’s goals and values. Jonathan considers healing as an “unlearning” process, as he helps his clients unlearn oppressive beliefs and identity constructs, with the goal of returning to a grounded sense of self. Jonathan earned his Master of Social Work degree at Dalhousie University. Jonathan has previous work experience in working with unhoused populations, disability group homes, and union organizing.Read more about JonathanShow less
