“The problem is the problem; the person is not the problem.” – Michael White and David Epston
How do you believe counselling can help?
Joshua believes that within each of us is an understanding of who we are. What makes us scared, nervous, and uncertain, but more importantly, what makes us strong, and what gives us the desire to begin the process of change in our lives. Counselling can give us a better understanding of who we are.
Your Approach to Counselling:
Joshua takes a person-centred approach, bringing a calm, grounded presence to every session. He believes that counselling should be client-driven, with each individual setting the pace and focus of their session. Joshua desires to see people discover ways to manage and work through challenges and discover new perspectives.
Joshua’s interaction style is gentle and laid-back. When appropriate, he uses humour in sessions.
