If this is your first time seeing one of our acupuncturists, please choose this treatment option. The practitioner will complete a thorough assessment and patient history, and develop a treatment plan for you. You can expect 45 - 50 minutes of treatment time in your first appointment.

This treatment follows the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, offering patients personalized herb medicine formulas based on their unique diagnosis. The diagnosis includes observation, inquiry, auscultation and olfaction, pulse-taking and palpation, as well as energy detection, ear diagnosis, and birthday diagnosis. Required for first-time clients. This extended introductory session offers a comprehensive, holistic assessment of your energetic layers. Through gentle exploration, we identify areas where energy may be stagnant or blocked, helping guide where to focus attention and healing. Set to calming music, the session creates a soothing environment that encourages your body to release tension and shift out of fight-or-flight mode. This relaxed atmosphere supports your body’s natural healing processes, allowing it to move toward rest, repair, and realignment. The longer format also provides space to gently introduce you to the Spinal Energetics experience, helping you tune into and respond to the sensations that arise. This foundational session is designed to support your nervous system and lay the groundwork for your healing journey.

This 45-minute follow-up session builds on the foundation laid in your initial visit, allowing you to move deeper into your healing journey. Each session offers the opportunity to explore and release additional layers of energetic stagnation and stored trauma, supporting continued realignment and integration within the body. Many clients experience ongoing relief from chronic pain and persistent physical symptoms through repeated sessions, as Spinal Energetics helps to gently unravel the energetic blockages that may be contributing to these issues. Articular Acupuncture or ear seeding is a traditional therapy rooted in TCM, and falls under the modality of auriculotherapy, a form of complementary and alternative medicine, which is based on the belief that the entire body and its systems (reproductive, nervous, digestive, respiratory, et cetera) can be reflected in the map of the ear (called a microsystem), which has various pressure points that correspond to various organs and systems. Ear seeding is the process of placing tiny metallic beads [or actual seeds, ceramic beads, or magnetic beads] attached to a small piece of adhesive material, like tape, in strategic locations on the surface of the ear. You leave the session wearing these beads for a duration determined by your acupuncturist.

In other words, a special type of focused light energy is used to invigorate the cells in our body. This light is all aligned, in a precise line, so that its energy can be effectively taken in by the body. There is no sensation of tingling, buzzing, or heat. There will be only the sensation of the pressure of the LASER device firmly pressing against your skin. Sometimes patients have noted a mild warmth.

It’s said to naturally help make the skin look younger, smoother, and all-around healthier. And unlike injection procedures, facial acupuncture addresses not only signs of aging, but also the skin’s overall health. Gua sha (pronounced as gwahshah) is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves the application of pressure by scraping your skin with a massage tool. Working with gua sha involves adding oil to the skin where the procedure is going to take place.
