Justin is a physiotherapist who obtained his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia. His interest in human movement and the body began in his early years playing Junior hockey and working through his Kinesiology degree at UVIC. Staying current with new treatment techniques he has received post-graduate training in manual therapy, Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), Connect Therapy™, NeuroKinetic Therapy™ and is certified with Acupuncture Canada. Using a whole-body approach, Justin implements a variety of techniques including myofascial release, joint mobilization, movement retraining and IMS/dry needling to help restore tissue and joint health. His treatment philosophy focuses on improving alignment and muscular imbalances while using corrective exercise to prevent recurring pain. Justin’s clinical expertise extends from acute and complex neck and back pain, whiplash, sports injury and pre/post-operative rehab. Justin enjoys creating individualized programs to improve how the body feels and performs. His goal with his clients is not only to fix the problem you came in with but to unwind bad habits that can lead to pain and dysfunction years from now. Outside the clinic Justin spends his time road cycling, strength training, scuba diving and all things outdoors.
