Karalee Colmer
Karalee holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University. She has spent several years supporting women, children, and youth in various settings and in crisis situations. She has experience supporting neurodiverse children and their families, vulnerable and at-risk youth, as well as women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
Karalee believes in meeting clients where they are at in their healing journey and provides support and understanding through a trauma-informed lens. Her therapeutic approach is largely client-centered, compassion-focused, and strength-based. She is committed to creating a safe and collaborative space for clients to develop their self-awareness and be supported in reaching their therapeutic goals. She incorporates a variety of modalities into her work and tailors her approach to each client’s individual needs. Some of these modalities include DBT, EFIT, mindfulness-based CBT, attachment-based and psychodynamic approaches. Karalee is also in the process of becoming trained and certified in EMDR therapy.

Karalee’s areas of special interest include working with individuals with self-esteem and self-compassion related issues, attachment related issues, neurodiversity, trauma, and those in need of parenting support.

An education and counselling group for neurodivergent (ADHD & Autistic) young adults ages 18-24. This group runs on Wednesday evenings from September 10 to October 29. Registration is for all 8 sessions for a total price of $540.
