- Specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from Wilfrid Laurier University certificate program
- Practices from a client-centred, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive framework that is rooted in attachment, systems, and intersectionality theory
- Worked in both community and clinical capacities, which has allowed katelyn to work with those from various lived experiences
