Katie Scott
Katie is an Occupational Therapist who completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Dalhousie University after earning her undergraduate degree from Mount Allison University. She brings a strong interest in child development, family-centered care, and the important role early childhood experiences play in lifelong health and wellbeing.
Katie is particularly interested in how early skill development, relationships, and supportive environments shape long-term physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. She takes a family-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that children develop within the context of their relationships, routines, and the environments that support everyday growth and participation.

Her previous experience as a mental health clinician has given her a strong understanding of the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, which continues to inform her work with children and families. Her clinical approach supports emotional regulation, self-regulation development, social-emotional growth, skill building, and helping children participate more fully in meaningful daily activities.
Originally from Ottawa, Katie was drawn to the Maritimes for its strong sense of community and access to outdoor activities. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and connecting with others through shared meals and physical activity.
