Katie Waugh became a registered occupational therapist in 2022. Before working for Anderson, Katie spent a year working in private paediatrics working with children with social-emotional, self-regulation, sensory, mental health, fine motor, and gross motor challenges. Katie also has many years of experiences supporting autistic children to thrive in leisure based settings. She uses a child-centred, strengths based, neuro-affirming, and trauma-informed approach to care.
Katie is trained in AEIOU feeding, ASSIST, trauma informed practice, Interoception awareness, regulation/sensory reframe, and motor planning/praxis.
Katie is a registered service provider with Autism Canada CAP funding.
Katie primarily works with paediatrics but can accept adult clients.
In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, going to concerts, reading, and learning to crochet.
