Keara Boyce
SaveKeara Boyce (she/her/hers) is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist in Nova Scotia and Ontario, and has certification with professional interest in adult swallowing through Speech-Language and Audiology Canada. Keara has specialty training in dysphagia (swallowing disorders) assessment and treatment, including MBSImp, DIGEST, ASPEKT and MDTP. Keara has worked in a variety of practice settings including acute care (stroke, neurosurgery, trauma, burn, head and neck oncology, medicine, intensive care, etc.), outpatient services (outpatient swallowing clinic, voice, speech and language), research, and clinical education.

Keara has also sought additional training and education in order to provide inclusive and gender-affirming voice therapy. A comprehensive swallowing assessment. This includes an assessment of current swallowing skills, goals, and a report. We use the Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) as a key part of the swallowing assessment, meaning you get an objective analysis of swallow function.
We are offering group therapy for people with chronic cough. This is a group that will teach strategies and provide information to people who have a chronic cough that is non-responsive to other medical intervention. Trained clinicians guide you through strategies and therapy programs to to reduce your chronic cough or throat clear. You may benefit from this group if: Your cough has been non-responsive to puffers, medications or other treatments You often feel that there is a lump in your throat Your cough is dry or unproductive You throat clear constantly You have a hoarse voice
