Kella Glen, PT
About Kella
Their own wordsWhile a new-ish face at Indepth, this former Highland and current Canadian (East Coast) Step dancer (the much more casual cousin of Irish dance, with a bit of tap thrown in) is by no means a new face in the physiotherapy field. With over 30 years of private practice experience, Kella is truly excited to join the Indepth team. The motto, “You see me once a week. You see you every day. YOU are the one who makes the biggest difference in your recovery” (which means thorough client education coupled with a tailored home program) has always been the back bone (pun not intended) of Kella’s practice. The addition of Pilates to her skill set has only strengthened that core (pun now intended) principle. As well as her strong interest in preventative and functionally based exercise programs, Kella has specific interest in rehabbing knees (from the young and the not so young), performs acupuncture, and does connective tissue based treatment of the jaw (TMJ) for TMD issues. Implementing all these skills while using plain language and a goodly dose of humour, Kella looks forward to working with you!
Pilates Private SessionFollow-up
“Book in for a 30min Private Pilates Session with one of our Clinical Pilates Instructors! (**please note this is billed as "Pilates", NOT as physiotherapy)
If you would like to do pilates and have it billed as physiotherapy, you will need to book a "Regular Initial Assessment" first with one of our Physiotherapists.”2 optionsChronic Pain AssessmentNew patient
“Struggling with Chronic Pain? We know chronic pain is a different beast. It requires a different type of assessment and treatment that often cannot be accommodated for in a regular clinic. We want to allow extra time to hear your story and give you a customized treatment plan that will be appropriate for you and your pain levels. We want enough time for patient education and to start you back into moving safely and in a supported way. Quite often the body will be afraid to move- or forget how to move properly. We can use clinical pilates as a way of helping re-train the nervous system and the body to start moving again.”Clinical Pilates AssessmentNew patient
