Kimberly Pitino

I recognize and value working with individuals, using their own strengths and knowledge to first assist them in recognizing their own abilities and then working towards meeting their goals through our therapeutic work together. I strive to create an environment of safety and trust as I wholeheartedly believe that is a key to a successful working relationship with those I meet. Part of my work will soon involve my work partner Marley. She is a Soft-Coated Wheaton Terrier who will join me in my counselling work, and together we will offer animal-assisted therapy. Marley is working hard to train and pass all her necessary tests to join me as a certified Therapy Dog.

I have called Vernon home for many years and am honoured to be able to work, live and play on the traditional and unceded territories of the Sylix Nation. When I am not working, I have rediscovered my love for figure skating and find myself with a full heart when I am on the ice. I enjoy camping, spending time with my family and friends and early morning walks with my dogs.
