AjouterKowndiya Amirthalingam received her Master of Physical Therapy at Western University in 2020 and prior to that obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Co-op at Waterloo University in 2018. She is passionate about working one on one with her patients to provide them with the knowledge, education and tools necessary to maximize their function and reach their health and lifestyle goals. She hopes to motivate her patients to stay active and help them take control of their own health. Her treatment techniques involve patient education, manual therapy, soft tissue release and exercise prescription. Kowndiya has a special interest in pelvic floor and women’s health. She has completed her pelvic health courses (Level 1 and Level 2). Outside the clinic, Kowndiya enjoys travelling, capturing moments with loved ones and creating physiotherapy-related content for social media.
Kowndiya is multilingual, with proficiency in English and Tamil and can effectively connect with clients in both languages.

Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Assessment
Orthopaedic (paediatric) Physiotherapy Assessment: Hirvi has a strong clinical interest in pediatric physiotherapy, with over 10 years of experience in this field. She has worked with children from as young as 20 days old, treating a wide range of conditions including cerebral palsy, delayed gross motor development, hypotonia, torticollis, plagiocephaly, and complications related to prematurity. She has extensive training in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and sensory integration. Hirvi is also experienced in providing rehabilitation for high-risk infants, with a focus on educating and empowering parents through guidance and hands-on training.
Pediatric Physiotherapy Treatment
Due to scheduling conflicts, it is recommended to schedule 4 additional weekly visits with your practitioner.
