About Lana
We all carry experiences that shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Sometimes those experiences can leave us feeling disconnected, uncertain, or searching for a deeper understanding of who we are. Having a safe space to explore and grow can make all the difference in trusting the path ahead.
My goal is to provide a space where you can show up as yourself and feel heard, understood, and supported without fear of judgment. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. I believe each person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to support and walk alongside you with curiosity, respect, and compassion. I take a holistic, collaborative, integrative approach that combines structure from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with attachment-based, person-centered, and neuro-affirming frameworks.
I work with young teenagers, adolescents, and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, burnout, or feeling stuck. Additionally, I work with teenagers, adolescents, and adults who are connected to adoption whether being an adoptee, or considering the adoption process.
As an adoptee, I understand that adoption can be filled with love and gratitude while also holding space for grief, loss, questions of identity, and a longing for belonging. Although every adoption story is unique, I understand how deeply adoption and our early lived experiences can influence the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and our place in the world. Adoption can bring many different experiences and emotions throughout a person's life, and I believe every part of that story deserves space to be explored with compassion and understanding. Whether you are processing your adoption story, navigating a reunion, going through the adoption process, experiencing relationship challenges, or simply trying to better understand yourself, you do not have to navigate these experiences alone.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent eight years supporting neurodivergent children, youth, and their families, as well as individuals who have experienced traumatic brain injuries. These experiences taught me the importance of meeting people where they are, recognizing their strengths, and understanding that every person's journey is unique.
No two people heal in the same way, which is why I take the time to understand what matters most to you. Together, we will explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want to create. Wherever you are in your journey, I would be honoured to walk alongside you, your child, and/or your family.
