Laura Mazier
Laura Mazier graduated with a Bachelor in
Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa
and obtained her personal training certification
through the Canadian Society of Exercise
Physiology upon graduation. Afterward, she
obtained her diploma in Pedorthics from the
University of Western Ontario.
By combining both disciplines, she has developed a philosophy of using custom-made foot orthotics as healing devices, while at the same time working on soft tissue maintenance to strengthen the body’s structures and make the bodywork more efficient.
Because she makes custom-made foot orthotics herself, she is able to develop creative solutions to correct for more complex pathomechanics and joint deformities.

A biomechanical and gait evaluation are done to assess how the muscles and joints are functioning. Next, an evaluation of the most common shoes worn is done to get a good base of historic gait patterns. Based on the findings, treatment options of exercise prescription, footwear, and/or custom-made orthotics are presented. We are here to educate and provide options, but your health is in your hands!

Assessment plus orthotics: The same process of a thorough assessment is completed and then a 3-dimensional cast of the feet is done in order to make the custom-made orthotics in our in-house lab. The two types of casting we do are slipper plaster cast and foam box molds.
