SaveLauren graduated from UBC in 2014 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree, and from UVic in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts double major degree in Psychology and Sociology (Quantitative Research emphasis). She has been a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association since 2012, and is registered on the College of Physical Therapists of BC's dry needling roster.
Lauren has experience working with a variety of patients in both hospital and clinic settings, but finds her passion in assessment and treatment of orthopedics. Lauren takes a particular interest in assessment and treatment of whiplash/cervical spine dysfunction, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ/TMD), shoulder injuries, and chronic pain. In clinic, Lauren's approach to treatment utilizes hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, various modalities, and most importantly, enabling her patients to maintain and progress their gains using home-based exercise and self-care techniques.

When not at the clinic Lauren spends her time keeping up with her child, experimenting with new cooking projects and playing outside. As a youth she played competitive softball in the position of pitcher. Now she approaches sport and recreation as a weekend warrior, with experiences in volleyball, swimming, hiking, surfing, snowshoeing, and of course, more softball.

This is a VIRTUAL session. Please note that insurance coverage varies for initial appointments conducted via Telehealth, and we may not be able to direct bill on your behalf for initial session. Your physiotherapist will work with you via virtual appointment to assess your injury through a thorough verbal intake, observation of your movements, and through guided instruction. You will be provided with a rehabilitation plan with guided exercise, functional progression, education, and tools for self management so that you are able to successfully manage your injury at home.

Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD) can cause pain in the jaw joint and in the muscles that control the jaw joint and can result from trauma (eg car accident or impact) or from overuse (eg clenching or grinding of the teeth). This session will focus on assessment of your concerns, treatment of your discomfort, and education for self-care strategies.

A detailed and comprehensive assessment that investigates the various functions of the brain that are commonly disrupted after a concussion. Please note that we do not currently accept WCB claims. Please complete our online physiotherapy intake prior to your appointment, as well as our online direct billing consent form if you have insurance for us to bill on your behalf. Please wear or bring clothing that allows you to move and expose the area of concern (shorts, tank top, etc).

Hannah incorporates manual therapy, clinical pilates, patient education, and intramuscular stimulation (IMS/dry needling) into her treatments. She uses a whole body, whole person approach with the intent to find the true, underlying cause of dysfunction. As a registered pelvic physiotherapist, Hannah can treat the usual musculoskeletal injuries as well as assess and treat: * Pelvic floor (option for internal assessment) * Low back pain and SIJ dysfunction * Urinary and fecal incontinence * Post-partum return to exercise * Pelvic organ prolapse * Diastasis recti abdominis

Sean's primary goal during your pregnancy is to keep you as active and able to participate in your daily activities as possible. She can also help you prepare your body for birth and return to activity with post natal care and is especially interested in helping clients with post cesarean section care. She can do this by using a manual approach to scar tissue massage and providing education regarding return to activity. Scar tissue massage is important post surgical to help reduce adhesions and potential musculoskeletal complications in the long term. Sean knows first hand the impact a scar could have on your body and would love to educate more women on post -cesarean care. Sean is also a third year osteopathic student. Sean can help with * post cesarean section care * pre and post natal care * returning to and continuing with activity with pregnancy
