Lauren Marshall is a Registered Clinical Counsellor offering in-person counselling in Parksville, British Columbia, as well as virtual sessions. She works with youth, adults, and couples, supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, and relational challenges. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vancouver Island University, an Addictions Studies Certificate, and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is trained in EMDR therapy and has experience supporting individuals with trauma, anxiety, depression, and the lasting impact of difficult or overwhelming life experiences. Her approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in a strong understanding of how the nervous system shapes our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Lauren integrates EMDR with nervous system-informed practices to help clients process and make sense of their experiences, rather than feeling stuck in them. She works particularly well with individuals who feel caught in patterns like people-pleasing, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, or disconnection from themselves. Her focus is on helping clients build awareness, feel more regulated, and develop a stronger sense of self. Lauren is known for her warm, genuine presence and her ability to create a space that feels both safe and real. She values authenticity in the therapeutic relationship and believes that meaningful change begins with feeling understood, safe, supported, and able to show up as you are.
