Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Lee Jarvis was introduced to the practice of Osteopathic Manual Therapy in his teenage years and has been in love with its theory and practice ever since.
As a stepping stone to becoming an Osteopathic Manual Therapist Lee enrolled in, and graduated from the McMaster/Mohawk Registered Practical Nursing Program 2008. During his career as a nurse (much of which happened concurrently with his education in Osteopathy) Lee worked for the Hamilton Health Sciences Hospitals. Initially Lee worked in many different departments/fields of Nursing with the latter half of his career in acute stroke care at the Hamilton General Hospital.

Lee graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy 2013 and was immediately taken on staff as a teacher. Lee has taught Anatomy, Physiology, Hands-on Practice and Development, and currently teaches Osteopathic Physiology. During all this time teaching Lee has run a very busy and enjoyable practice seeing many people with many different conditions.
In his spare time (though there is little of it) Lee writes and illustrates about Anatomy and Physiology through social media (@simplelinesanatomy on Instagram). As well Lee has created the anatomy quiz app Simple Lines Anatomy for students of anatomy across the globe (on iTunes and Android).

Osteopathy is beneficial for animals in the same way that it is for humans; restore lost mobility, aid with chronic discomfort, stabilize the gait, recover from illness, among others. A gentle, manual treatment approach is used to restore circulation in the recovery from surgery (including dental work), for routine maintenance and for everything in between. Animals are incredible receivers of healing and it is a joy to work with them. Currently offering treatment for dogs, cats and any other domesticated pets.

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands-on treatment that helps your body shift from a state of stress to a parasympathetic (rest and digest) state. Using subtle touch around the skull, spine, and sacrum, the practitioner works with your body’s natural rhythm to release stored tension and restore balance. Craniosacral osteopathy is ideal if you’re dealing with: - Chronic stress or anxiety - Burnout or nervous system fatigue - Postural tension and headaches - TMJ or jaw tightness - Digestive issues linked to stress - Trouble switching off at night If you’ve tried everything and still feel “stuck,” this is often the missing piece. This 40 minute treatment is carried out with very little to no talking.
