Lena is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with an undergraduate degree in BioPsychology and a Master’s in Social Work. With over 20 years of experience working with children and families, Lena initially trained in Behaviour Intervention and has since collaborated with schools, community organizations, and ministry teams. She has established therapeutic alliances with a diverse range of clients, drawing on training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Expressive Therapies. Her primary focus is supporting children with neurodiversity, along with their siblings and caregivers, through various life transitions. She has also worked extensively with children and families managing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and adjusting to multiple diagnoses.

Lena practices from an anti-oppressive, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and compassion-focused perspective. She is dedicated to fostering the well-being of the whole child and family system by building therapeutic rapport through creative approaches. Lena emphasizes holding space for clients to connect with and express their authentic selves.
