About Lindsay

Their own words
Lindsay is a practicum student completing her Master of Counselling through the University of Lethbridge. She brings a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach to her work. Lindsay has over a decade of experience in roles focused on mental wellness and advocacy in public, private, and non-profit organizations. She is passionate about supporting women throughout the perinatal period, as well as individuals navigating neurodiversity, life transitions, grief, and relational challenges. Lindsay strives to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported in their journeys of growth and healing. Inspirational Quote: “Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.” – Parker J. Palmer “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.” – Brené Brown “People start to heal the moment they feel heard.” – Cheryl Richardson How do you believe counselling can help? Counselling offers a purposeful space for you to feel fully seen and unconditionally valued. I believe that being honoured in this way can be deeply healing. When you feel safe and respected, it becomes possible to explore your story with greater clarity and begin creating new possibilities for yourself. Counselling can open the door to more authentic, personally meaningful ways of navigating the world. As your counsellor, my role is to walk alongside you with compassion and gentle curiosity — supporting your growth and helping you move towards what matters most to you. Through this process, many people come to recognize strengths they hadn’t seen before, gain meaningful insights, experience healing, and discover new ways of relating to themselves and others. Your approach to counselling: My approach is tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each client. I work through a holistic lens — honouring the mind–body–spirit connection, as well as the relationships, culture, and environmental contexts that shape your experience. Depending on your hopes and goals for therapy, I may support you in: - Compassionately connecting with different aspects (aka “parts”) of yourself - Examining and re-authoring your personal narratives to highlight courage, creativity, and inner strengths - Developing practical skills for managing thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships - Deepening self-awareness, self-acceptance, and mindfulness - Identifying your core values and moving toward a values-based life - Focusing on solutions and taking small, achievable steps forward …or we’ll work together to create a blend of any of these approaches! Lindsay’s interaction style is gentle and laid-back. When appropriate, she uses humour in sessions. Availability: - Mondays 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Primary Topics: - Family Relationships/Challenges - Grief/loss - Parenting - Peri-natal - Post-partum - Reproductive Health/Fertility - Self-compassion/self-esteem - Spirituality - Women’s health
