Acupuncture is defined as a system of diagnosis and treatment based on a comprehensive Chinese theory of energy balance. The treatment involves insertion of small, sterile needles into precise anatomical sites in the body to produce therapeutic effects. The benefits of acupuncture are wide-ranging and profound. Through a chiropractic scope of treatment, acupuncture calms the nervous system, reduces inflammation, speeds up healing, improves circulation, and corrects musculoskeletal system dysfunction. Acupuncture is also a useful adjunct treatment to be included in a comprehensive health management program for a host of other conditions, such as: nausea, vertigo, scar rehabilitation (including c-section and post-operative scars), headaches, low back pain, osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ, and so much more.
Dr. Jenna is certified in the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture “painless needling technique” and applies over 20,000 therapeutic needles per year. She strives to make your acupuncture experience as positive and comfortable as possible utilizing a combination of this technique and ultra-fine gauge needles. Specially-coated needles are available to those who are particularly sensitive.”Laser TherapyNew patient
“Recommended plan of management: 8 - 16 sessions.
Laser therapy is a chiropractic service and is billed under your chiropractic health insurance coverage. For your first appointment, please select the "Laser Therapy Initial Consultation" treatment service.
Service sessions include: 30 minutes of the alternating red and infrared photobiomodulating laser therapy diode pad applied to one body region, followed by 5 minutes of highly-concentrated infrared laser probe therapy to the most-affected area. For two body regions, please select the "Laser Therapy - 45 minutes" treatment service.
Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT) is the use of monochromatic light emission from a low intensity laser diode (250 miliwatts or less) or an array of high intensity Super Luminous Diodes (providing optical power in the 1000-2000 miliwatt range) to treat musculoskeletal injuries, chronic and degenerative conditions and to heal wounds. The light source is placed in contact with the skin allowing the photon energy to penetrate tissue, where it interacts with various intracellular biomolecules resulting in the restoration of normal cell function and enhancement of the body’s healing processes.
Low Intensity Laser Therapy improves and cures multiple pathologies in the shortest possible period of time while achieving the following goals:
1. Eliminating pain.
2. Eliminate the need for pain medications.
3. Restoration of mobility (normal range of motion).
4. Improving quality of life (activity levels, sleep, etc.)
5. Reducing the need for surgical intervention.
Treatments are usually scheduled 2-3 times a week or more frequently in acute cases, at least initially. Subsequent treatments are scheduled in accordance with the patient’s status.”2 optionsLaser Therapy ConsultationNew patient
