Louise is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with the Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia,(MTANS) having completed her training at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Halifax as an Honors student (Hons). She also has a BSc in Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University, Bedford.
Louise's qualifications include the internationally recognized "Vodder School" Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) techniques for non-compromised lymphatic systems. These techniques are especially effective for drainage to areas where there is swelling (for instance following sprains, strains and surgery). When swelling is reduced, the body can recover faster.
Louise also has continuing education certificates in Deep Tissue massage, Cupping Techniques, treatments for the shoulder, hip and for concussion and has a speciality interest in helping clients who have issues with TMD (Temporomandibular dysfunction). She is the founding director of FLEX Massage Therapy, currently training for additional speciality treatments in massage therapy and passionate about providing the best possible care in the best possible environment. Louise is available full time.
Louise lives in Valley with her husband and enjoys travel, good food and the beautiful Nova Scotia coast.
PLEASE NOTE Due to high demand and a full client base Louise is only accepting appointments for clients that have previously been clients of Louise (however, if you need TMD massage, she is available). Existing clients of Louise can book online using this system or by telephoning 902-THE-FLEX (843-3539).
