**We are excited to welcome Magdalena to our Elements of Balance team!!** Magdalena completed the massage therapy program through the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. Before coming to Canada she completed her studies in Germany to become a registered physiotherapist in 2007. She worked in a pulmonary clinic for three years in Germany and for six years in a nursing home and senior living group in Switzerland. Her background as a physiotherapist and working with patients who have respiratory distress, neurological disorders and dementia has given her an unparalleled knowledge and experience that she applies to her massage therapy treatments. In her massage therapy treatments she uses a variety of techniques, such as active release techniques, joint mobilizations, trigger point release and hot/cold therapeutic stone massage. She devotes herself to help her patients return to functional activities of daily life.

This person has graduated from a certified massage therapy college program and is awaiting the provincial licensing exams. This person is NOT yet a Registered Massage Therapist. Extended health plans will NOT cover these treatments. This type of treatment is best suited for those who do not have extended health benefits and/or have already used up their allotment for the year for massage therapy, as these treatments will be at a lower cost.
