Mareena is a Registered Acupuncturist with over 10 years of clinical experience, practicing in Victoria and the Gulf Islands. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Queen’s University and graduated magna cum laude from Pacific Rim College in 2015. Mareena taught acupuncture at Pacific Rim College for three years as a Clinic Supervisor. Since first joining Urban Lotus in 2016, Mareena has developed a well-rounded general practice, treating a wide range of concerns including pain, injury recovery, digestive health, and concussion support. She has a particular interest in women’s health, offering care for menstrual regulation and fertility, and works with patients pursuing both natural approaches and those undergoing assisted reproductive therapies (ART). Her treatments integrate acupuncture with individualized guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, therapeutic movement, and Western herbal medicine to support lasting results. Mareena is available to do house calls for postpartum mothers, especially to facilitate caesarian section recovery in the first 3 weeks. She is thankful for the many traditional medicine teachings that have been passed down to her here on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples in Victoria, BC.
