_**STYLE: Medium to deep pressure, Swedish therapeutic and relaxation, Craniosacral, myofascial release, stretching, visceral manipulation, joint mobilizations, intraoral TMJ work.**_ Marie graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2019. Her interest in massage was sparked through her yoga practice, noticing how the body and fascia would release in some poses while breathing. Similarly, her treatments incorporate elements of stretching and muscle activation (PNF, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) to increase range of motion and restore tissue integrity. Treatments are a blend of general Swedish with Osteopathic techniques such as Craniosacral Therapy. Marie can also treat the jaw internally with intraoral TMJ work. Her approach is alignment based, all the while knowing that the body is inherently asymmetrical due to its viscera: the heart leans to the left, the lungs are different, the right diaphragm is "bigger" and the liver below it weighs up to 2.5kg, etc. This dance of art and science, observing and letting be, makes every treatment and encounter unique. Her biggest satisfaction is for patients to feel calmer, more centred and at ease coming out of a session. **Bills To: Blue Cross, Telus eHealth insurers, Sunlife, Greenshield, Empire Life, Medavie - VAC, RCMP**

CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch manual approach that enhances the body’s natural healing capabilities. The CranioSacral Therapy practitioner essentially helps the body release restrictions – which it has been unable to overcome on its own – that inhibit the body’s normal, self-correcting tendencies. Rather than deciding how these changes should be made, the therapist follows cues from the body on how to proceed. When the therapist follows this gentle approach, the method is extremely safe and effective. A CranioSacral Massage Therapy session is an integration of CranioSacral therapy, gentle massage therapy, and osteopathic techniques. Depending on what your body is presenting, a session may address restrictions within the CranioSacral system (dura, cranium, and spine), ligaments, joints, fascia, muscles, and viscera. Appointment time includes interview, assessment, consents, treatment, and instructions for home care.
