Mark is a Saanich Peninsula born physiotherapist who is excited to be back on the island as part of the Tall Tree Integrated Health team. Mark’s focus is to collaborate with the client to help them achieve their goals and return to sport, work, or daily life. Mark grew up in the world of sports, playing everything he could get his hands on. He worked as a tennis coach for 6 years teaching junior development camps and adult lessons. He played volleyball at a high level and competed at a national level with track and field. Through athletics and coaching, Mark recognized his passion for human movement which inspired him to complete his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. While at UVic, Mark worked with the Velox Rugby Club where he was responsible for the on-field management and rehabilitation of various injuries. He also gained experience working with individuals with disabilities as a support worker at children’s summer camps. These experiences motivated Mark to pursue his masters in Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia where he graduated in 2017. Mark utilizes an active approach to rehabilitation with a focus on exercise, hands-on manual therapy, and education. He is an eager learner and has taken a variety of post graduate courses focusing on manual therapy techniques and the latest in clinical rehabilitation research. Mark is an enthusiastic and positive physio who enjoys working with individuals of all ages and exercise backgrounds. From athletes looking to return to sport, to seniors looking to increase their function, Mark has the skills to help you towards your rehabilitation goals. Outside the clinic, you can still find Mark playing volleyball, tennis, hockey, and football. He also claims to be training for the Spikeball event in the 2032 Olympic Games. Mark’s special skills include being well versed in fantasy football and remaining undefeated in Mario Kart.

Vestibular rehabilitation is a graded-exercise approach to treating balance and dizziness disorders. A physiotherapist will perform a detailed assessment to determine the type of vestibular dysfunction you present with and then design an individualized exercise program to reduce symptoms such as dizziness, vertigo, or feelings of unsteadiness.
