Megan offers individual virtual therapy to teenagers and adults across the province of Ontario.
She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and she provides trauma informed care to her clients. Megan approaches each therapy session with understanding, empathy and a little humour to help clients better understand themselves, their situations, and to teach evidence based skills to improve their lives, relationships and wellbeing.
Megan works with each client to create a specialized care plan, based on their goals, and uses evidence based models of treatment so that they can have the most effective therapy.
She has worked in multiple social work settings providing group, family, and individual therapy to children, teens and adults. Megan uses an integrated model for therapy drawing on her training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems.
Megan completed her Masters Degree in Social Work with a clinical specialization in Children and their Families at the University of Toronto. She completed further training and certification in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International
