About Michael
Their own wordsSometimes life feels overwhelming, confusing, or stuck. Therapy provides a safe space to pause, gain clarity, and explore what shapes your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Together, we can uncover obstacles, develop practical strategies, and focus on what truly matters to you, helping you feel more balanced, purposeful, and confident in your choices.
I am a qualifying member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, completing my practicum under the supervision of a Registered Psychotherapist. I hold degrees from University of Ottawa (B.Sc.), McGill University (MBA), Queen’s University (M.Ed.), and Buckinghamshire New University (MSc Applied Positive Psychology). I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. My training includes Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered and Solution-Focused approaches. I aim to create a collaborative, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
I work with adults navigating low mood, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, and identity concerns. My approach is present-focused and tailored to your needs, helping you make meaningful changes without overanalyzing the past. I have particular interests in Jung’s model of the psyche, peak experiences, personality strengths, and Asian cultural and spiritual traditions. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, as feeling understood and supported is one of the most important drivers of lasting change.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, watching films, hiking, and cycling. I am currently accepting new clients and welcome you to reach out to schedule a session or ask questions about my approach. My goal is to help you build a life that feels aligned with your values, productive, and fulfilling.
