About Michelle
Their own wordsMichelle is a MyShelle Method Nervous System Practitioner specializing in bodywork, neurodevelopmental education, and coaching.
Her work began through personal experience while seeking support for her son’s developmental challenges. This introduced her to Neurodevelopmental Primitive Reflex Integration and showed her how early reflexive and sensory patterns can continue to influence movement, behaviour, learning, emotional responses, and the body’s ability to feel settled and supported.
Michelle integrates four core areas of training: Neurodevelopmental Primitive Reflex Integration, Touch for Health, Certified Conscious Education Coaching, and Somatic Focalizing Meditation. Together, these form the foundation of the MyShelle Method - a nervous system stabilization process which is a somatosensory approach that works with the nervous system to shift from protective reflexive patterns (habits) driven by stress, internal bracing, and relationship challenges.
Her individual sessions may include gentle compression, sensory input, body awareness, developmental movement, reflex observation, and coaching. Each session is neurodevelopmental focused paced according to the client’s responses, with a focus on nervous system stabilization, body trust, boundaries, connection, and greater capacity to do life.
This work is more than nervous system regulation, it is stabilization. Through the stabilization process it can act as a non-verbal therapeutic approach for people who struggle to feel comfortable with contact, closeness, receiving support, or intimacy. Rather than relying only on conversation, it gives the body an opportunity to experience safe, predictable contact while developing a clearer sense of where the self begins and ends.
This work can be a profound body first approach for those who struggle with verbal, lack memory, may not have the vocabulary as the body remembers but we can not put words to them.Due to this nature, Michelle also teaches educational workshops for parents supporting children with sensory dysregulation, helping the family bond. Her workshops help participants understand what may be happening in the nervous system behind the behaviours, sensory overload, or resistance to touch, while offering practical body-based tools that can be used as an "at home" practice... empowering the parents.
Overall Michelle’s work is especially suited to individuals and families who feel that the body remains on guard, even when they understand cognitively that they are safe. Her approach helps clients move beyond surface-level coping strategies and develop a more grounded, connected, and confident relationship with themselves and others.
