About Michelle
Michelle is a Registered Provisional Psychologist whose academic foundation in counselling psychology was established at Yorkville University. She brings a wealth of personal and professional expertise in childhood neurodevelopmental and genetic disorders, positioning her as a trusted specialist for children, adolescents (ages 3-17), and adults. Michelle is an active member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association.
With a decade of experience in school-based settings, Michelle is dedicated to empowering families navigating complex behavioural challenges. She embraces strength-based approaches to address a broad spectrum of concerns, including academic difficulties, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders, disruptive mood dysregulation, oppositional defiance disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attachment issues, bullying, grief and loss, trauma, sleep problems, and maladaptive thought patterns. Additionally, Michelle provides valuable parental support in strategy development, life transitions, and emotional well-being, all focused on fostering, nurturing, and restoring harmony within the home.
Michelle’s therapeutic toolkit is both diverse and evidence-based comprising: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Play-Informed Therapy, as well as Applied Behavioural Analysis and Functional Behavioural Analysis. Her unwavering goal is to deliver exceptional, compassionate care tailored to each client, equipping them with the resources and confidence to thrive.
