About Minsun
Their own wordsHello there!
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a background in Child Development. Throughout my career, I have primarily supported children, youth, and families, including grandparents who have stepped into caregiving and parenting roles. My practice is grounded in the belief that healing begins by meeting people where they are, recognizing each person's unique experiences, strengths, and pace.
I strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, heard, understood, and empowered to explore life's challenges.
As a therapist, I bring an intersectional lens to my work and have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating cultural identity,
intergenerational trauma and conflict, and complex family dynamics. I understand the unique pressures that can arise within immigrant families, including balancing multiple cultural expectations, caregiving responsibilities, and questions of belonging. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I aim to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where your story is honoured and your experiences are understood within their broader cultural and personal context.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and am committed to providing care that is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to your individual needs. I utilize varieties of modalities including Trauma-Focused CBT, ACT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and incorporate play-based approaches with the little ones.
Service is provided in English and Korean.
