Welcome! I would like to tell you a little about myself, why I love what I do, and how I may be able to help you. I started the journey to becoming a therapist over 24 years ago when I signed up for my first counselling class. This started a cascade of education, volunteering, and exploration of all things I could access that were connected to growth, healing, insight, and understanding. Since that first class I have been in therapy, learning about therapy, or practicing therapy in various forms. I am personally passionate about this work as it has helped me to understand, heal, and learn to live with my own trauma and life challenges, understand the ways that neurodiversity affects my family and myself, and to learn to cope with the “adventure” that is parenting. I am additionally committed to this work having seen the growth in others throughout my career. Working together as a team I believe we can create sustainable changes in your life, using tools from Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Strength Based therapy, and Solution Focused therapy. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space to explore, process, and heal. I have deep belief in people’s capacity to create a fulfilling and beautiful life for themselves, and to heal and rise above what life throws at us by cultivating mindfulness, self-awareness, and connection. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions I look forward to sharing this journey with you! I offer equine-assisted therapy as a gentle, meaningful way to support healing, growth, and connection. Working alongside horses can create space for reflection, self-awareness, and emotional regulation in a way that feels grounding and natural. Horses have a unique way of meeting us exactly where we are, often helping us notice what is happening beneath the surface without pressure or judgment. This is non mounted and you do not need to have horse experience to engage.
