This 60-minute appointment is the mandatory first follow-up after your initial pessary fitting and must be scheduled within 2 weeks of your initial appointment. During this session, your pelvic health physiotherapist will: Reassess the fit, comfort, and effectiveness of your pessary Address any symptoms such as pressure, leakage, or discomfort Recheck function with the pessary in place (e.g., walking, sitting, standing, coughing, voiding) Provide additional guidance on self-management, care, or insertion/removal, if appropriate Make any necessary adjustments or size changes This appointment ensures your pessary is working safely and effectively, and that you're confident in managing it. 🔹 Bring any questions or concerns you've had while using the pessary.

This 45-minute appointment is for patients who are independently managing their pessary use following a successful initial fitting. During this follow-up, your pelvic health physiotherapist will: Assess vaginal tissue health and comfort Ensure the pessary is still fitting well and functioning effectively Review your technique for insertion, removal, and cleaning (as needed) Address any concerns such as discomfort, discharge, or changes in symptoms Monitor your ability to perform daily activities comfortably with the pessary in place Regular follow-ups are important to ensure ongoing safety and effectiveness of pessary use in self-managed patients. 🔹 Please arrive with an empty bladder 🔹 Bring your pessary with you (inserted or removed—either is fine)
