Nicholas Maio is a Certified Athletic Therapist who holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Applied Health Science from Sheridan College. His extensive experience in healthcare allows him to specialize in injury rehabilitation from all levels of activity, general population to high-performance athletes. Nicholas has worked along side many sporting organizations such as Humber College Varsity Athletics, League1 Ontario, the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL), and St. Michael’s College School. Nicholas has worked across a variety of sports, including soccer, volleyball, hockey, and basketball, supporting athletes of all levels, from youth players to professionals. His treatment philosophy is rooted in collaboration and empowerment, tailoring care to the specific needs of each individual. Whether working with athletes, professionals, or members of the general population, Nicholas strives to optimize recovery, prevent injuries, and enhance overall performance. Nicholas is a certified First Responder and an active member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA), bringing both expertise and dedication to every aspect of his practice. What sets Nicholas apart is his comprehensive approach to care, combining evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of functional movement. His methods include manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, exercise prescription, and individualized rehabilitation programs.
