About Orsolya
Orsolya works with individual adults and couples, supporting clients who may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, trauma, and relationship challenges. Her practice is especially attuned to people with rich inner lives and complex personal histories, including trauma survivors, neurodivergent adults, older adults in periods of transition, and creative or reflective individuals who connect with metaphor, depth, and nuance. She also works with couples facing issues such as infidelity, fertility challenges, and consensual non-monogamy.
Her therapeutic style is integrative, collaborative, and thoughtful, drawing from narrative and existential therapies alongside CBT, DBT, EFT, the Gottman Method, EMDR, somatic approaches, and mindfulness-based practices. Before becoming a counsellor, Orsolya worked as a high school teacher and literary scholar, and that background continues to shape her work through the use of stories, poetry, and creative reflection in therapy. She offers in-person sessions in the afternoons and evenings and provides therapy in English, Hungarian, and Russian.
Orsolya is a Canadian Certified Counsellor registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds an MA in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and a PhD in Literature from ELTE University in Hungary, with additional training in EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, CBT, DBT, grief counselling, EFT, and other trauma-informed and relational approaches.
