“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life.
Tip Toe if you must but take the step.”
My name is Pratima Pathak, and I am a client- centered therapist with diverse life experiences
and more than 10 years of extensive clinical & multi- cultural counselling experience working
with families, youth & adults, to help them explore their inner self, their challenges, relationships
and goals. I take a Holistic approach to therapy, with Mindfulness and Cognitive Behaviour
therapy as my area of expertise.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario in
good standing and an active member of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
With extensive experience in evidence-based Mindfulness practices and Cognitive behavior
therapy, I guide clients to navigate life’s challenges with greater presence and inner calm. I help
clients create a safe space, where mindfulness meets cognition, and clients learn to cultivate
heightened awareness of one’s thoughts and emotions, identify unhelpful patterns without
judging them or getting stuck in the reactive patterns, and empowering individuals to cultivate
greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.
I provide Individual & couple therapy through a non-judgmental, empathetic and a safe
environment, where I work in collaboration with the client to understand their challenges, fears,
anxieties and inner conflicts that they bring into the session and together we navigate their inner
landscape and try to understand what is helping them and what is not.
Every client brings into the session their uniqueness and their own personal quest, and my effort
is to work with them and help them, using ways and techniques that best suits their personal
needs. Together, we work on strategies that allow clients to address the root causes of their
difficulties and build meaningful connections.
