Hello and welcome!
I'm Rachel, a Registered Physiotherapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Throughout my career, I've developed a passion for addressing musculoskeletal injuries and
assisting clients in returning to the life and activities they love.
My practice as a physiotherapist has been shaped by a dedication to bridging the gap between
traditional physiotherapy and strength and conditioning. Furthering my interest in under-
represented groups in scientific medical academia, I pursued a Masters in Kinesiology,
exploring the effects of the menstrual cycle and hormonal fluctuations on resistance training.
Whether you're recovering from an ankle sprain, contemplating a new fitness routine, or dealing
with neck discomfort from your desk job, I'm committed to tailoring your session to your specific
needs. My holistic approach prioritizes understanding the root causes of issues rather than just
addressing symptoms. I utilize a range of manual therapy techniques and personalized
exercises to ensure your treatment aligns with your needs. Together, and possibly with the help
of others on the CAYA team, we'll craft a plan that fits seamlessly into your life and set goals –
not just for your treatment but for your overall well-being.
Outside the clinic, you'll find me at the gym honing my Olympic weightlifting skills, on the Pilates
reformer, or exploring Vancouver's vibrant food scene.
I am genuinely passionate about connecting with people, hearing their stories, and collaborating
to enhance their well-being. I'm eager to get to know you and discuss how we can work together
to help you feel and move better.
