When you meet Renee in a therapy session, you'll find an approach that's genuine, empathetic, and free of judgment. She works hand in hand with her clients, exploring every part of their lives to uncover unique paths for healing and change. Renee's skills blend body-focused methods with traditional talk therapy. She knows that mental health issues often show up in physical ways, so she guides her clients to connect with their bodies and manage these symptoms. Her goal? To help you approach your whole self with compassion and curiosity, unlocking new understandings and paths for change. About Renee herself – she's been a yoga therapist for over 10 years and recently added counselling therapy to her practice. She has a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling – Provisional (MPCC-P) designation with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association and a Certification in yoga therapy. Her background includes a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and Psychology, plus extensive training in yoga instruction and therapy. Renee's a true west coaster, loving all things outdoors like hiking, running, paddleboarding, and, of course, yoga. She's also into playing the piano, swing dancing, and giving back to her community, especially helping those dealing with grief and loss at her local hospice. Renee's approach to therapy is deeply personal. Having dealt with anxiety and low self-esteem herself, she found a powerful combo in counselling and yoga therapy. Now, she uses a range of techniques in her practice –* from grounding exercises and mindfulness to CBT and Emotion Focused Therapy*. She's all about creating a space for deep personal insight and holistic healing, especially for those dealing with self-esteem issues, life transitions, anxiety, and relationship challenges.
