Dr. Reuven is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Registered Acupuncturist with over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience. He was a founding faculty member at Pacific Rim College, where he trained and mentored many practitioners now working in the field. He has also taught many post-graduate courses and workshops for practitioners, with a focus on nervous system regulation, pain treatment, pulse diagnosis, and Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture. His work focuses on helping patients restore balance at the level of the nervous system and Meridian system, supporting meaningful and lasting change in both physical and psychological health. Many of the patients he sees are dealing with ongoing stress, fatigue, pain, or burnout. Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, Dr. Reuven takes a whole-system approach, helping the body regulate more effectively so that multiple concerns can begin to shift together. Dr. Reuven’s approach is especially effective for symptoms including: - Nervous system dysregulation and mental/ emotional stress - Fatigue, exhaustion and burnout - Chronic and ongoing pain in various parts of the body - Digestive system issues - Complex systemic conditions - Feeling lost, disconnected, out of sorts or feeling like “something’s off, but I don’t know what” Patients often notice improvements not only in their primary complaint, but also in areas such as sleep, stress levels, and overall sense of well-being. Treatments are typically gentle and individualized, with changes that continue to unfold in the days following each session. Dr. Reuven works with people who are interested in understanding the deeper connections between their symptoms and their overall health, and who are looking for a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to care. His goal is to support patients in returning to a more settled, resilient and comfortable baseline state. Additional training and clinical strengths include (to name a few): - Five Element / Constitutional Acupuncture: Especially helpful for psychological, emotional, and psycho-spiritual concerns - Advanced pulse diagnosis: Especially useful for complex or multisystem conditions - Channel-based acupuncture (including distal point strategies, mirroring and imaging systems): Gentle and effective approaches for pain treatment and nervous system regulation - Channel palpation: Feeling the channels directly to diagnose and clear blockages. - Treatment of acute, chronic, and complex pain
