###Rushell Hemmings MCP, RCC BCACC #22413 People often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from who they are – especially when past experiences, cultural expectations, or major life transitions begin to feel heavy and difficult to navigate. Through trauma-informed counselling, my role is to help lighten that weight. With a culturally attuned and collaborative approach, I offer a safe space where you can explore your story, untangle your thoughts, reconnect with your values, and build practical tools that support emotional balance. Clients often leave our work together with greater clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of direction. They gain strategies that help them navigate challenges more effectively, honour their identities, and move forward with intention and resilience. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and an Adler University graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I bring more than ten years of multicultural experience supporting children, youth, and families across community and clinical settings. Over the years, I’ve worked as a mentor, tutor, admissions staff member, and now as a clinical counsellor. Each of these roles has shaped my understanding of how people grow, cope, and make meaning through even the most complex circumstances. My own lived experiences also inform the way I show up in the therapy room. I strive to create a calm, open, and culturally sensitive space where you feel safe to explore your emotions and experiences at your own pace. Grounded in an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed approach, I work collaboratively—honouring your identity, your strengths, and your unique path toward healing.
